A very long time ago, the lion lived alone in the forest with three oxen. The three oxen never parted: they ate the same meal, drank the same water and slept together. The three oxen were not the same colour: there was a brown ox, a white ox and a black ox.
The lion wanted to eat the oxen, but as they were always together, he could not. So one day he called the white ox and the brown ox and said to them: "The black ox is very big, he eats a great deal. We must kill him so as to remain alone in the forest."
The two oxen, who are not intelligent, listen to the lion and kill their friend. The lion eats him at once.
A month later, the lion calls the brown ox and says to him: "The white ox is different from us, he does not have our beautiful colour; we must kill him so as to remain alone with our colour, and we shall have the forest for the two of us."
The brown ox, who did not understand the lion's ruse, remains alone with him. His comrades are dead and cannot help him, and so... the lion eats him and remains alone in the forest.
